We visited naples in September 2011 and we made several trips down to Naples Pier. On one of our trips we had the privilege of seeing dolphins playing in the water around the pier, a truly magical experience. A lovely place to watch the sunset, but it can get a little busy.

You can't go to Naples without taking a stroll along the pier. Great views and stunning scenery? Worth the visit

Lighting is very very poor & dangerous at night! Inadequate parking and metered if out of town. Bathrooms are great to have!

This is a must for everyone who visits Naples. Great way to see the beach and water. For several locals it is a daily routine to go and walk on the pier and go back home!

Even though you have to pay to park it's worth it. Naples Pier is one of the best. It's almost always busy as you can see dolphins regularly. Lots of fishermen are there and the dolphins try to get the fish. It's great to watch them. The beach is just wonderful here too. White, soft sand that is a pleasure... More

The pier is a nice place to go for a walk and see dolphins. Unless you're into fishing it's not the best place to linger. I was worried about getting snagged by a hook with so many people casting off all around me. It's the one place you can fish without a license, or so I was told, I guess... More

This has become our yearly tradition: stake out a place on the beach, set up chairs, table and/or blanket and then have lots of appetizers and other refreshments as you wait for the fireworks to be shot off of the end of the Pier.

It's nice Naples has a pier and it was fun to see all the culture and hear all the different languages and accents down there (we went for the sunset and to check it off our "tourist" checklist) but the beach itself was pretty littered and dingy so we wouldn't make it a regular beach to go grab some sunshine.

Being in Naples(FL) it is impossible not to go to the sea shore and have a walk on the Pier. You will feel like you're somewhere else in the world, somewhere exotic. The woody pier, the sea,the sun,the beach... and if you are lucky ,like we were, you will see some dolfins(real ones ;-) ) dancing in the water just a few meters... if you are visiting Naples, Florida the pier is worth seeing. take nice walk in the afternoon. beautiful sunset and the fishermen (or fisherwomen) you can capture nice photos. parking is plenty nearby the pier. also it is close to a nice dining and shopping area. the beach looked great. it may be crowded for your taste over a weekend.
