This was a pretty cool aquarium. There is a lot to see and some great wildlife. There are a couple of shows which are great for the family.

There is a reason why the Florida Aquarium has won so many awards. The exhibits they have set up are truly special and original. In particular, they are lauded for their Florida exhibit, however little kids will likely be most enthralled by seeing the penguins up close (they bring them out of the exhibit to interact with visitors). That said,... More

Decided to go to the Aquarium while visiting Tampa. It was approx $20 with a voucher per Adult entry. There were 3 adults in our party. It took us only an hour or so to get around all the viewing areas with all the aquariums. There are 2 floors, the top floor hosting all the tanks and viewing areas and... More

Very nice place. Not quite as cool as the Georgia Aquarium, but it holds its own. Great place to go with kids.

Not much to do downtown compared to other cities like Atlanta or New York. The aquarium was large and full of things to. Will bring my grandchildren the next time.

Had a good time, if you like that kind of thing. The aquarium is fine - a little different but entertaining.

Only issue is finding it. Tampa could do a better job with signage to help tourists (and locals!) to find their way around this district. But rare among aquaria, it takes the perspective of water's journey through Florida from ponds and lakes to aquifers and springs to bayous to ocean, and the flora and fauna inhabiting each.

It is beautiful by nature but there is not much to see. You can do the whole aquarium in 30 minutes if there are no crowds.

A wonderful trip to the Florida Aquarium was my birthday gift this year! This is a well maintained facility with a nice variety of exhibits. While there we also experienced the Penguin Encounter - well worth the extra fee. It was very interesting and fun to see the penguins up close. I'm 48 years old and learned things about penguins...
