The old buildings, sigar shops, restaurants. The downside (for seniors) is the noise of disco's and bars.

Ybor is a nice visit during the day, a bit exciting at night. It's been cleaned up a lot compared to how it was ten years ago.

Lot's of choices, but I like Carmines. Try the Blue Crab pasta on the weekend - delicious. Good for lunch too - try the deviled crab or the half cuban, spanish bean soup combo.

You do get that feel of the older Cuban version of New Orleans. But its also very apparent with the tattoo shops, the hookah bars, the homeless, and the signs posted for "gaYbor City", that at night this place becomes a real "scene", and not one that is family friendly. And on the restaurant side, EVERYTHING is a tourist trap... More

Ybor City is very similar to Bourbon Street in New Orleans; more of a Cuban than French touch. But, the same feel: clubs, music, kitchy stores. It was a fun place. worth the visit. Definitely adult. Lots of cigar stores. Fun place to people watch.

Ybor is the city to learn and feel about old Florida and cigars. We had lunch at the famous Columbia Restaurant and the food as well as the treatment was excellent. We visited museums and different stores and also stop at different cafes to warm up because when we went the temperature dropped to 42. We visited different parks and... More
