It was heartbreaking to see the large cats and bears kept in such small cages! These are wild animals, they need much more of an area to roam! The female lion had a huge sore on the front of her paw that we were able to see from quite a distance back. It looked like it was from her laying... More

We visited the refuge yesterday and it was a wonderful experience. The tour of the animal enclosures was a lot of fun - monkeys, lions, tigers, wolves, emu, bears, reptiles...did I mention the tigers? We booked the Tiger Cub Encounter and had the BEST time. It's pricey, but the money goes to build and improve the animal habitats. We were... More

Rescue zoo for circus and carnival animals. Good sized. Better plan on half day. Clean and well maintained..

They have different animals scattered around to see. Easy to follow path and arrows. The white baby tiger cubs were great and played the whole time we were there. Not many people and you can take your time at each enclosure. Kids loved it as much as the adults.

I cannot say enough positive things about this wildlife refuge! This place is doing an excellent job with educating people about their animals, and as a biologist by trade I see the overall quality of the care, housing, and genuine love of animals that the owner and staff possess! MUST SEE for little ones and adults!

These animals far exceeded our expectations; we saw the 4 white tiger cubs up close and could almost interact with them. The huge lion & lioness made one of the best pictures I've ever taken. The animals were well cared for and you could just sense the acres of love! We went on a Monday so almost had the preserve... More

We went to the guided tour, it was $20 each. It a small part but well maintained. The walk tour guide explained well about each animal and their habitat. Animals are cute and there no much crowd. Lots of fun to spend an evening with Kids.

Our school just got back from a wonderful field trip to the Chestatee Wildlife Preserve! We were very pleased with the facilities. Everything was neat, clean and organized. We followed the well defined mulch path from the parking lot all the way around the zoo, allowing us to see all the exhibits and not miss anything. Our students eagerly traveled... More

Upon arrival, my husband and I were greeted by our vehicle by staff on a golf cart. They handled our admission right there in the parking lot. Once inside the premises, we made it just in time for the live animal show at the pavilion. Here we got to touch and marvel at an assortment of exotic creatures. There weren't... More

The first time that I came here, the experience was better. A very young man greeted me and gave me instructions. The next time, I had to hunt down staff to pay. During my first experience I was amazed at how many big cats they had and the variety of animals. You could get quite close to them. I even... More
