Great place for conventions with proper exhibition halls, seminar rooms and also a lakeside area for reception. There are also food outlets. (Go there only if you are attending a event, else there is nothing much)

The convention provided FREE shuttle service from most hotel areas to McCormick place West-all of the areas used for the convention were well lit, fresh air, nice wide aisles-multiple eating areas where the Food was great and you weren't RAPED by the prices.
The AAOS annual meeting between March 19th and 23rd was held in a city inside Chicago called the McCormick Place. Huge place well planned, secure, well equipped, courteous , helpful staff. well connected by road and rail to rest of the city, this is the place for any convention of any unfathomable size

McCormick place is a giant convention center. It wont be wrong to say you need a GPS inside the building! Ample parking available. Signs are posted everywhere. Close to the highways and other Chicago attractions like the planetarium, aquarium, soldier field and museum.

This place is the biggest behemoth you'll ever encounter. You'll get lost and they'll charge you a fee for it. Then afterwards you'll eat a crappy lunch at one of the few restaurant choices in this monster. After that you'll deal with some union workers and walk another two miles for something you forgot in your car. They do bring...
