Much better than the last time I went, which was years ago. Beautiful glass exhibit, but really the whole place is very well done. I would definitely go again.

The place was nearly empty, so it was a peaceful experience. The works of art were mostly contemporaneous, and were very varied. The glass exhibit was amazing. I did not recommend it for kids because of the many pottery and glass exhibits that were displayed on pedestals and shelves. Older kids should be okay.

I really loved the staff and the content of the museum, it was just a huge bummer that half of the museum was closed switching out exhibits. Paying full price for half the content was disappointing but it’s definitely worth going back if you know everything is open!

We came here because they had a traveling Mucha exhibit which we both enjoy. I do stained & fused glass as a hobby. I was excited to see the glass works that were on display. Several of the glass pieces use optical effects to give you different views from different angles. The static displays were very nicely done as well.

Pleasant enough space- free parking in back.
Due to price of art by famous artists- museums must try to collect something affordable- here they collect glass art.
Several nice examples. What they need is a very wealthy patron to give a Picasso or 2

Fort Wayne's Art Museum is well lit and understated enough to let visitors focuse on the art. While considered a regional museum, they have had exhibits of Andrew Wyatt, Norman Rockwell, and other well known painters. We have also seen a traveling exhibit of Chihuly's students glass sculptors here. The rotating permanent art collection is also worth seeing. The museum uses it's time, energy and creativity to successfully bring great art to the Ft Wayne area.

Perfect for the first stop on our 9-day roadtrip! This art museum is big enough to spend an hour or more yet intimate enough to immerse yourself in any or all of the several exhibitions currently offered. We enjoyed the FWMOA's exceptional glass gallery as well as the current exhibitions: A Quest for More: Bold Visions in Glass Sculpture and Hope Dies Last: The New Armenia (photographs by Michelle Andonian); Indiana artists on exhibition: Static Energy: Sculpture by Dale Enochs; and traveling exhibitions: American Impressionism: Treasures from the Daywood Collection, a thorough look at some of our foremost artists of the time, many with recognizable names, and Posing Beauty in African American Culture, a wide array of photographs. Onsite parking and modest admission fee make this an attraction worth stopping to visit!!

Fort Wayne Museum of Art is a regional museum with a focus on American Art. It has expanded over the past 10 years in a thoughtful pre-planned manner. The admission is reasonable with special free programmed evening hours the second Thursday of the month. The permanent collection rotates regularly. There are also themed special exhibits to attract all segments of the community and especially to bring in those people who might not normally visit an art museum.

My daughter and I visited the museum for an enlightening and interesting experience. There are many things to see. I especially liked the rooms dedicated to student art.

Admission fees are reasonable. $20 for a family, $8 adults, $6 for students/children/seniors.
Active duty military’s duty Veterans are free.
