We went for time trials and you can go nearly everywhere you want for $10/person includes parking. No crowds no lines. The museum is worth the $5 as well.

Fun place to go to. I have enjoyed the track for many years. I love the cars and getting to meet the drivers. Great spectacle. The Museum is top notch. It has many of the past winning cars and other cars such as pace cars and historical cars on display, great for the whole family.

I like to go up for the 500 race qualifying the weekend before the race. Up in turn one it is a nice relaxed atmosphere. I'm sure it is not so relaxing for the drivers and teams.
Amazing to be inside this place, you enter inside the track and park. It's even cooler that there's a golf course that cuts through. Saw a few cars on the track, really cool to see them whiz by. The museum is small but has everything you'd ever want to know about the Indy 500 including awesome cars and trophies. Great...

This was a good day spent. I did the large tour which takes you all around the places of interest on the track. You get the chance to stand on the finish line and the winners podium. There is access to the press and Television rooms. For anyone with passion for Speedway this is a must do visit.
The museum...

They offer a narrated tram ride around the track for a small fee in addition to the museum entry fee. The gift shop area is immediately inside the entrance and you don't need to pay...

This place has everything on Indy racing. I enjoyed the movie on the history of racing. The displays are very interesting end educational. And I have to admit, sitting in an Indy car and playing the simulator was fun.
The Indianapolis Motor Speedway is the place to be if you love racing of all kinds. It is exciting to be there. Drivers and cars are close by when you are walking around the place.
