Did a walk by today. Didn't get a chance to go inside.. but the monument is very beautiful and respectful. It's very central down town and near circle mall. Check it out.. It can be mixed with many activities and great places to eat dinner downtown. See my review on the Brazilian Steak house!.

Was driving through the city and decided to park and walk around here. Very peaceful and beautifully made. Pays tribute to those who served.

I enjoyed my visit to the Soldiers and Sailors Monument in the Heart of Downtown Indianapolis. The sculptures around the monument pay tribute to the veterans and give you the opportunity to reflect and remember our past. This memorial is the center of a very busy traffic circle in center of Downtown Indianapolis. Visitors should use caution and be alert... More

Only a few dollars to go to the top in an elevator, worth the trip. Beautiful fountains, lit at night. great for a summer's night.

The lift went up most of the way but you have to walk the last 3/4 flights and the staircase was narrow, not suitable for people with walking problems. The civil war museum located at the bottom of the memorial was very good, it explained the story of the conflict very well and the exhibits were very well done.

The landmark marks the service of all who died in wars from Indiana's earliest days through WWII. It is large and impressive with numerous sculptures and a fountain. It is located in a circle that is surrounded by shops and businesses within a short walking distance from the state capital.

The monument and fountains were nice and informative. The circular drive offered an opportunity for drive by viewing.

Alright, I'm just going to write a review for all of the monuments on Meridian that lead up to the Indian monument in Columbus Circle (they are all in a row). They are fabulous and make for a wonderful day walking around downtown when the sun is shining. The museum is by donations and will take the better part of... More

From the official tourist information, the main picture shown here is the "Soldiers’ and sailors’ monument". it is located at the 1 Monument circle. There are 4 sides of the column, with different scripture on it, also there are fountain below, at night, when the light switch on, there is another kind of beauty different from day time. I got... I am writing a review of the War Memorial, not the Soldiers and Sailors monument that is pictured. I was incredibly surprised at how much was inside the War Memorial- it's a museum that basically goes through all the wars in US history. If you're a museum lover and tend to read everything, make sure you give yourself at least... More
