Our fun and informative tours (approximately 3 hours in length) take you through the heart and soul of Kentucky's beautiful blue grass horse country. Drive by, see and hear the history of Calumet farm, home of a breeding and racing dynasty that dominated the sport of kings during the 1940s, 1950s and beyond. Step out and enjoy a walking tour of the ivy-covered grounds of historic Keeneland Race Course, home to the planet's most expensive horse auctions. Take a peek at the thoroughbred horse lifestyle as we take you behind the scenes to explore a premier thoroughbred farm and visit up close and personal with their famous stallions. We'll even see where scenes from the major motion pictures Secretariat, Seabiscuit and Dreamer were filmed. « less

My husband and I took a private tour with Nick as our guide and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Kentucky. Nick is awesome in his knowledge of horses, racing and was very personable. Our private tour was done in their comfortable vehicle and it offered a very unique, up close and personal glimpse of the... More

Great tour! Totally fun and educational at the same time! Cross your fingers that you have kids on your tour so that you can go to "Old Friends" farm, they adopt retired race horses! You also have the option of requesting that your guide take you there ;) Well worth any cost! More

This was my third tour over the last 20 years, and it was the best. I would definitely recommend it. More

We took the Sunday morning "Horse Lovers" tour from Heritage and were very impressed. Not having much experience with horse racing or thoroughbred horses we found it both enjoyable and informative. Our tour guide was a trainer himself and had worked at several of the farms over the past couple decades. His knowledge of the details therefore was incredible and... More

Based on other reviews of this tour we bought tickets online for an afternoon tour (1-4 PM) and were picked up at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Lexington by Tim Wilson, who was our driver and guide. Tim was a delight! He was extremely knowledgeable about the business of raising race horses and actually was part owner of one with... More

My wife and I went to Lexington for a weekend getaway and found this tour on Trip Advisor app for my sprint phone. The tour guide was exceptional. He took us to Keeneland and gave great history about races, riders and of course thoroughbreds. Then we toured a breeding farm and got up close with some very famous studs! The... More

My husband, myself, and another couple that are friends of ours took the tour on June 17, 2011. We lucked out and happened to be the only ones signed up for the 9:00 am tour, so we had the guide all to ourselves, which was great! We were picked up at our hotel in a van, which was very convenient.... More

First of all, I am not a 'horse person'. I know nothing about horses but since we recently relocated into the area, it was time to learn a little about the local flavor. So the family signed up and we were off for a few hours of education! Little did we know how fascinating and beautiful the area really is!... More

Our family was over-the-top pleased with our Thoroughbred Heritage tour. The guide--Kim--was superb and with one of our group have some medical challenges, it turned out that she was particularly knowledgeable and helpful. We spent good time on the Winstar Farm and I was just hoping we could drive by it. We saw a lot and learned a lot. Our... More
