When you want to feel the luxury and ambience of a bygone era there is no better location to catch a film in style than the Kentucky. Red Carpet Premier's to first run features.

My bride and I visited prior to the arrival of our little girl - two years back. When you have children you often change your night life... at least for some time. :) Lovely old place, well kept, and very victorian vintage. Proud that it still is open and showing!

I love getting a chance to catch a movie at the Kentucky Theater. Many times I have found they were showing movies that were limited release and were not playing elsewhere. The theater is old and the seating has not been updated in years, but I like the feeling of stepping back in time and going to the cinema. The... More

This is a MUST see! Old world charm and beauty. It will bring you back to the day when theaters were a main source of entertainment!! We saw The Place Beyond the Pines which was great!

I love to visit places that are historic to the area and that is exactly what this is. The staff was so friendly and didn't mind at all letting us peek into a theater since the movie hadn't started. The theater was beautiful-nothing like the chains of today. It had character, charm, and so much detail. The lady in the... More

I just love this place. This is what a theater should be. Sometimes they have classic movies and it's unforgettable to see the masters of the old times in a big screen again. I really hope that they can keep opening this theater for a long because these kind of places are fundamental to define great cities.

The Kentucky Theatre is over 100 years old and g gets all the first runs that don't make the big chains. It is also the only theatre In Lexington which serves wine.

I am a long time patron of the Kentucky Theatre. When I first started going, it was way before the long overdue remodeling. I think the Kentucky Theatre is the centerpiece of downtown Lexington. All of your favorite films are so much more enjoyable when watching them at the Kentucky Theatre. If you have the opportunity you should catch a... More

The Kentucky is nothing short of a Landmark in downtown Lexington. From Woodsongs recordings, to quirky B movies like Rocky Horror Picture Show (in all its glory) it is an experience that most all students and residents of Lexington enjoy.
