It takes a special place to craft the #1 Bat in Major League Baseball. At Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory, experience history-in-the-making as you stroll through the actual factory where world-famous Louisville Slugger bats are created. The award-winning factory tour is a highlight of the visit here, but there’s plenty more to enjoy along with it.Admire the World’s Biggest Bat – stretching 120 feet into the sky. Hold bats actually used by baseball superstars like Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Cal Ripken Jr. and Derek Jeter. Face down a 90-mph fastball hurled by a major league pitcher. Count the homerun notches Babe Ruth carved into his Louisville Slugger bat for every home run he hit with it. Step into the batting cages and take some swings with a replica model of your hero’s bat. Guests even get a free miniature souvenir bat at the end of the factory tour. You can even create a bat with your own name on it, just like the pros. They make great gifts for all kinds of special occasions, from newborn babies, to groomsmen gifts, to team trophies and more. The museum store is also loaded with lots of sporty merchandise for every budget. Be sure to swing by! « less

A great place to visit even if you're not a big baseball fan - there's still interest just from a historical point of view. If you're a baseball fan - it's a definite must. Take the tour and spend time in the museum. I parked around the corner for just a few dollars. The building is not hard to miss... More

I can't believe I have never been here. I had no idea what went into the process, and how many bats are made yearly. Great tour!!!!!

Our firm attended a function at the musuem. It was truly fascinating. You can even try out the bats (and it only costs a $1.00). They have all sizes of bats for sale from hand size to regular size and they will even personalize them. The factory tour was really cool. You can see the bat go from the log... More

Getting to swing Mickey Mantle's bat was fun, and seeing a bat turned out was interesting. My only complaint is that you can't take pictures inside the tour, only outside in the memorabilia rooms.

I have visited the Louisville Slugger museum several times while I was living in Kentucky. It's a nice place to take the family especially if you have kids that like baseball. My favorite area is where you get to watch the people make the bats.

If you're in Louisville (with or without children) this factory/museum is well worth the trip. Actually, don't miss it! There is a tour of the factory (amazing to watch) and the museum is filled with memorabilia and information. Standing behind home plate you actually see what the a batter sees -- the speed of a 90 mph fastball coming toward... More

It is a very interesting tour and the Lego exhibit was great as well as the movie. Baseball fans will love it but it is not cheap for a couple hours of entertainment..

I really liked this factory museum. It's a fun place to visit with kids, ...and also to bring back some old memories to those like me that love to be kid and a sports fan. Don't by silly, there's nothing wrong visiting this place, you will enjoy it and buy some gifts to bring to your friends. They're good.

It was okay. Not a baseball fan. The outside bat was interesting and reading some of teh names on the wall inside was okay. Nice but not overly enjoyable.

The guided tour is very fun and informative, if a bit quick. We learned a lot and it was very cool to walk through the functioning factory. Definitely a great place for kids and adults alike!
