Came here once to watch the show Dracula by far one of the best shows I have ever seen. Kept me intrigued from start to finish if you get a chance to see it I highly recommend you do.

Great way to see 6 + new plays, with fantastic production values, great acting and directing. I try to go every year. And the new restaurant in the Theatre is delish.

Thank you AToL for making new plays happen for the nation and the world to enjoy after you've nurtured them! My favorite type of theatrical venue is theater-in-the-round and one day I will have one comparable to yours. I swear it! :-)

Actors Theatre of Louisville extends wonderful hospitality to theater lovers at the Humana New Play Festival, held every year in March and April. It's a perfect opportunity to see new work before it's discovered elsewhere, and ATL musters an enthusiastic and dedicated bunch of seasoned professionals, festival interns and volunteers, to make the Humana Festival a vital and exciting event.... The opportunity to see 6 plays in a weekend is great BUT, inevitably all the plays are not great. Two were terrific, one not fathomable and two pretty good. The venues are very good- right downtown with adjacent parking.

Last night my wife and I went to Actors Theatre to see one of the new plays in the Humana Festival. I have come to expect nothing but the best at Actors and that's what we got. "Appropriate" by Braden Jacobs-Jenkins is a powerful play at a southern family that is united to settle the estate. The family secrets they... More

We saw one of the Humana festival plays, and both the acting an production aspects were really impressive. I dragged my(teen) kids, but they really loved it and we had a great talk about it. One minor complaint--they didn't blink lights in the lobby to indicate the play start, and after intermission. Perhaps it's because there are multiple spaces, but... More

Went to the 37th Humana Festival of New American Plays and saw "Appropriate" about a dysfunctional family. The acting was overall good, the play was about something most everyone can relate to and the theater is lovely: intimate and good acoustics. A very nice regional theater company/venue.

At one time this was one of the premier regional theaters in the entire world equal to the Guthrie and Steppenwolf. In the past few years, "Actors" has capitulated to the local mindset & attitude and unfortunately is bordering on "pedestrian." I hope the theater management realizes that aiming towards the lowest common denominator never works and will bring you... More
