Many restaurants to choose from, and local shops make this a good day trip. The bars, comedy club and occasional outdoor concerts serve the evening crowd.

When I lived in Louisville I used to visit 4th Street nearly every weekend the people at the bar's like Tengo de Cantina became really great friends of mine. The bars out in Downtown Louisville are really great and a lot of fun. Truthfully 4th street and Bardstown road are just about the only clubs where you can truly enjoy...

Great restaurant choices for any budget. Different types of bars for an array of music choices. Good security. Can go rain or shine with the road having a roof over it!
What a fantastic idea to take an old city street and enclose it to create an amazing space filled with great food and the feel of new mixed with the old. The architecture is beautiful and the streets are filled with great music and fantastic food. The live music in the street and a great cigar topped off the night...

We went there around the derby, and im always blown away by how cool it is here. Enjoyed eating in its outdoor sheltered area. Reminds me of 16th st. In Denver
Great entertainment in the open air! Definately a " must do" when in Louisville! Lots of restaurants...from fast food to elegant dining and bars aplenty. Great way to spend an evening?
If you are into nightlife, it's a great place to visit but if you are not into that sort of thing my recommendation is to skip it. It's mainly bars.
If you're hungry, head to Fourth Street Live-- even without the added music attractions that frequent the area, it is packed with reasons to visit for a meal. Stop by the Fudge shop for a free sample, sit outside at the brewery beside a roaring fireplace. Great ambiance!
Family stepped out to party an Fourth Street Live gave us a safe place to unwind, with the options of various music styles an entertainment venues. The people were nice an the dancing was fun an entertaining. We will be back to enjoy more of what the city has to offer.
It's official...I'm old. This was the final evening on a business trip that was intended to be relaxing. Found the experience loud and way too crowded. Many of my coworkers seemed to be having a blast. For those that enjoy the bar & party atmosphere thumbs up, but not my cup of tea! Gonna go knit a sweater now.
