I travel many miles to enjoy this fantastic area. Numerous local restaurants and boutiques line the street! It is comforting, unique, friendly and often trend setting. This area is layered with history, yet continues to draw new and upcoming shops and restaurants. Love it!!!

We used to live in St. Matthews, so going down Frankfort Ave. is something we did all the time. Lots of old historic houses, Masonic home, etc. Very nice scenic ride.

On the last Friday of every month, businesses stay open late, and a free trolley transports people up and down the Avenue. I never did see a trolley, but visiting the shoppes was enjoyable nonetheless.

If you're in town on the last Friday take advantage of the free trolley up and down the street in the evening. There are a lot of small shops, and all kinds of local owned eateries. We checked out The Irish Rover and went back to FABD and Smokehouse, I highly recommend both. Unfortunately a lot do the shops were... More

This is my neighborhood, so I have only good things to say. I love the numerous restaurant and eclectic shopping choices. The trolley hop is a must for locals and visitors.

B. Deemer's art gallery is filled with fine art. A block away, you will find Just Creations which is part of the Ten Thousand Villages. Vintage clothing can be found at Elizabeth's. The Blue Dog Bakery is also on Frankfort Avenue. Consignment shops dot the street along with dining options such as Caspian Grill. Nancy's Bagels and a bookstore are... More

Always a treat to drive/wander around this historic and fun section of Louisville. Lots of memories and a place my younger brother loved so much. Wish he were still with us to continue to enjoy it.

The old buildings are pretty, and the little boutiques by the area are worth visiting as well. Youthful vibe compared to downtown, for example. Same with the Highlands area in general.

This is a great little street very eclectic with a wide variety of small stores. Plenty of good restaurants and coffee houses to stop at while shopping. Also have a trolley hop each month which runs up and down the street that you can hop on and hop off.

A great place to walk and visit antique shops and retro places. A 2.5 mile step back in time. Plenty of places to eat and shop along with speciality places along the way.
