- ILoveToRoam93 contributionsWe had a great time! This is a very nice place to see events. We went here to see the Alicia Keys concert on July 20, 2023 and we had a great time. The ticket prices are very reasonable, compared to other cities and there are lots of really good seats for the best views. The temperature was perfect inside and the bathrooms were very clean. They also have lots of food items, though we didn't purchase anything. The sound system was perfect as well. Parking was a bit slow, because I think there is only one entrance to the parking lot, so for big events, like Alicia Keys, I advise to get there an hour or 2 early, like the Yum Center website says. You'll want to get there early also so that you can park near the top of the parking structure and get out sooner when your event is over. We got there late and had to park on level 3 and we had to sit there for 20 minutes before we could get out. It wasn't too bad of a wait, but you can get out sooner if you get there sooner.Visited July 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 23 July 2023
- RunningGirl14Missouri156 contributionsConcertWe went to a concert here. Since we live 4 1/2 hours away, we had to book a hotel. We picked the Galt House right next-door. It was perfect! They have their own walkway and security check. Any staff we talked to from the ladies checking us in to the gentleman I bought a water from were very friendly. We didn’t use the restroom, so I can’t comment on their cleanliness. What we did see, was very clean, and areas were well marked. For our first, and probably only time at this venue, it wasn’t stressful and was a very pleasant experience.Visited November 2023Travelled as a coupleWritten 6 November 2023

The yam center is the best arena around! It is great for concerts, basketball games, and more. The layout is great and there are plenty of options for concessions. No matter where you are in the arena, you will have a great view. And not to mention, it is located in a great area that is perfect to explore before or after the game or event. I most recently attended Dan answer Shay here!

A huge shout-out to customer service rep SAMARA who went out of her way to find us alternative seating because of a height issue in the upper deck for the James Taylor concert August 13. She couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. Her efforts impressed us beyond belief. She, alone, made our concert experience memorable. Thank you again, SAMARA , for truly caring about our predicament and taking care of it. Great concert too!!

Visited here to see my team take on UL. Easily accessible throughout the building. Convenient to hotels downtown (easy walking distance). Was fortunate to have seats in the lower bowl as I would assume that the seating in the upper bowl would be extremely steep. Would definitely come back. One of the nicer arenas in the ACC

We attended graduation & the entire building was accessible. There were multiple entryways and lower level access. It was very easy to leave out in the event of an emergency too. The bathrooms were clean, spacious, & equally accessible. We enjoyed the event as well as the location.

Besides the number of concerts that are staged here this is the venue to see UL men’s basketball and UL women’s basketball. Although we like the idea of a downtown arena in Louisville close to restaurants and other activities parking can be pricey nearby. Don’t get me wrong it’s a lovely facility with great views of the Ohio River and much nicer than the old Freedom Hall and it’s truly a boost to the city. Yet, it loses a star because of parking fees and traffic congestion before and after events.

Do you provide wheelchairs for those elderly that have trouble walking long distances?
Are there elevators running from basketball event floor up into the garage area level 2p
What hotels are in walking distance to KFC Yum Center?

The walk is about 15 minutes and you pass through 4th Street Live which has plenty of places to dine and hang out.

My wife and i are going to the Pink concert this Tuesday. We purchased a parking ticket underneath Yum Center. Can park as early as 2:30. Question is once we park, before we enter the arena are we permitted to walk around or do we have to enter the arena? Thanks

Parking at the Yum Center is a wonderful perk. Convenient, and easy to leave provided you don’t waste time at the end. Once you have your ticket scanned you can’t leave. So, park, shop, eat and do all that you want beforehand and what I learned is they have bars n the bottom level of the Yum Center so, I didn’t like the opening acts for Brad Paisley so I waited there. Hope this helps.

My wife and i prepaid for parking to the Pink show. We are from SE Indiana and we are wondering once we park underneath the Yum Center, are we permitted to walk around outside before the show or are we committed to the Yum Center upon parking. We can park as early as 2:30. Thank you

I was in that section but row C which is part of club seating, had ur own upscale bar and bathrooms underneath. I saw Gaga ans her floorset moved from stage to floor pods. I was three rows up. If maroon 5 has a set stage and ur row t u are gonna be high up on the side. Ur gonna have to rely on the screen for close ups, as this is not close up. My opinion is if u have a choice of section closer to stage and higher up like u have it one section over but like say, 5 rows up that is gonna be closer her. FYI u can park directly underneath venue which is awesome if it’s raining. I’ve visited nationwide, quicken, ppg and other big arenas and this one is one of the best layouts
Thinking about taking my son to a concert there my question is and I know it might sound dumb but here it goes..the seats I am planning on getting are pretty decent but at some point if we wanted to get up and stand by the general admission for a few is that allowed?

No. It's not allowed. I would recommend you get a refund on your tickets. This is positively the worst sounding venue I've attended in the USA for music concerts.

I can't walk far. I bought disability seating. I will be dropped off in the front and picked up. Is the walk to the seats bad in section 305? Or should I use a wheelchair? I don't really want to, but it'd be good to know. Thank you.

There are elevators and u will have to walk and walk over to one and then take up to third level. Then u will have to find ur section and walk to it and the wheelchair access row will be right in the door. I suggest calling ahead and ask if an attendant would be possible to assist u at the door or at least from the third floor over to ur third floor section.

Going to the chainsmokers 5/20 staying fri and sat nights. Never been to this city but once to st Matthews mall area. What's the best hotel to stay? We aren't cheap. We like space so maybe a bedroom with a door and mini kitchen or something. Indoor pool or out. I heard there is a hotel attached to here? What hotels can u walk to? No motel 6 or red roof inn please. Hampton inn and up types only. I use Hotwire a lot can anyone tell me what's what on there if u know? I have Columbus Ohio options down to a a science now. Need lots of details. Anything cool to do in the daytime like a museum thing? Where's the best shopping area?
