Recently our son was married here. Beautiful home and location for a wedding. They wanted an outdoor wedding but also a backup plan in case of bad weather. It was the perfect choice!!

It has been my pleasure to enjoy this treasured structure through the many functions hosted in the house through the Service League of Natchitoches' and the Prudhomme-Rouquier House Foundation's generosity. (2001 visit) The house has been remodeled but there are no furnishings; however, the grounds are well-maintained and beautiful. I am a seventh generation Prud'homme and very proud of my heritage. My grandfather Jean Baptiste went down to the plantation in 1905 to collect his inheritance and he came back with a cow. My uncle Lester stopped by the plantation...
