Mount Battie is only about 3 miles outside of Camden and offers a fantastic view of Camden, its harbor and the islands beyond the harbor. You can also spot several of the local area light houses. Definitely worth the visist.

The view from the top of Mt. Battie is worth the trip. You can park the car and walk out just a few steps to see the amazing views of the whole area including Camden Harbor. Truly inspiring. If you are a hiker, you can hike up the mountain.

It is worth the trip. On a clear day you can see as far as Owl's Head lightower. The view on Camden village is an unforgettable one.

We hiked up from the parking lot to the top of Mt Battie to enjoy the view. It is a fairly easy hike on well marked trails (blue paint markings on the tree trunks). You will have to pay to hike up, even if you park outside the park. The views from the top are incredible - bring a camera... More

Definitely worth the short trip while visiting Camden. The stone towers are intriguing. It was a foggy day when we visited June 7th but still a grand vista.

Large enough not to be crowded, the view is magnificent. Not too far from town to be a hassle. Bring you camera!

A must do in Camden. We went up here at sunset and had a beautiful view of town and the area. You can see all of the islands.
