We decided to take a family trip aboard the Margaret Todd - me, my husband, 11 year old niece, 4 year old son, and 20 month old daughter. We had read on their website that it was family friendly and there was "fun for the whole family." Well, if your kids are behaved in such a way that they don't... More

Booked a fishing trip for two of my sons and I aboard the Tiger Shark. My experiences in the past on other charter fishing boats had not been the best but my sons wanted to try. Let me tell you, we had a GREAT time!!! First of all, the first mate Adam, a former commercial fisherman was so accommodating and... More

My husband and I chose the morning cruise aboard the Margaret Todd as part of our 7th wedding anniversary celebration.. We were more than delighted. The staff was amazing. The captain made every effort to ensure everyone's safety. I even had the pleasure to visit with Maggie their beautiful, lovable Newfoundland. We were amazed at the tranquil beauty. My husband... I had booked Margaret Todd sunset cruise on Saturday morning (June 11) on phone for that day. Couple of hours later the weather started deteriorating and I decided to cancel the trip since I had an infant baby and elderly parents with me. I called up and the guy at the other side said they'll deduct 7% of my paid... More

My husband and I just went on the Sunset cruise last weekend. It was absolutely gorgeous. We were very close to the surrounding islands and even saw two bald eagles. The crew was very nice and there was one young gal on the crew with beautiful red hair that was kind enough to give me her jacket! (it is VERY... More

It's a beautiful ship under full sail but the crew was so unfriendly and did not make any attempt to engage the passengers in conversation. One gal was sleeping standing up. Even the girl singing on our cruise had no personality. There were tip jars all over the ship but no one deserved a tip in my opinion. Completely joyless... More

Took a "1 1/2-2 hour" (just over 1 hour long) sunset cruise last weekend. Perfect weather. Light (5 knot) breeze and a few light clouds. The boat filled up more and more - not many an empty seat. I was surprised at the number of people aboard and it did feel a little cluttered when under way. Crew were pretty... More

The Margaret Todd sails out of Bar Harbor (not out of Cherryfield.) The experiece I had was terribly dissapointing as I have enjoyed sailing on several similar ships in other coastal towns (Booth Bay Harbor, Provincetown, etc.) Worst parts: The stench from below deck was so bad that I had to give up my seat and stand in the front... we (four adults and two children) took the morning cruise and the crew got the sails up and we had the experience of silent running then back to port with the diesel engine. As advertised the afternoon had more wind but we enjoyed our ride with a light wind. it was about the right length for us with two young-ones.... More

We booked a 2 pm cruise for Sept. 1, 2009. It was a beautiful day with the wind at five knots. Margaret Todd cruise is advertised to be a 1 1/2 to 2 hour cruise. It would be a stretch to say the cruise lasted even 1 1/2 hours. Cruise was too short, and we were in site of a... More
