Nice short (6000 +/-) yard Semi-private, historic golf course. Lots of water and nice greens. Nice little course to play while visiting Kennebunkport, ME. The past President Bush’s play here during the summer months while in the area. A no frills course, but you will enjoy it! Cape Arundel is not a modern course with all the amenities. There is a small clubhouse and pro shop but there is no food service (at least on the Saturday we were there) and no bar! The 19th hole is usually what I need after the way I play the first 18! However, the course is historic even though it... More

It has become a semi-public course. It's a very narrow course so it's often hard to tell where your green is and where the next hole is.

Not too challenging, short but excellent grounds and greens. No markers for distance. Nice talk with the pro there who said that we just missed Bush !

I am a 9 handicapper and will tell you that you should not be dissuaded from playing this course due to its short yardage. At 5960 yards from the back tees it plays like 6600 with treacherous greens that clearly were built to protect the course! Your putting will be tested to the limits if the greens are in great... This links style course is a challenge with the undulating greens and the bunker placement on several of the holes but truly a gem to experience! The historic clubhouse brings you back in time with the old photos of the course, the memorabilia from the Presidential years to the current low round scorecard from record holder Phil Mickelson, along with... A links type course that meanders along side the Kennebunk River. Many gofers say the renovations resulted in a much improved course.

The history of the course alone is enough for any golfer to play this hidden gem. The Scottish style links design is an interesting change to the American style golf that so many courses from this area are like. I have played this course many times and can attest that not once have I ever been hit by a ball... More

This is mostly a links course with water on a least a dozen holes. Beautiful views and an old-time golf feel. Former President Bush is a member, and often plays there with PGA Tour players and other celebrities, but you can still get a tee time as a member of the public. It's not a long course, but it's fun... More

When traveling to Maine I have played at several very nice and challenging courses BUT this one is in a special class. The best advice I can give to anyone planning to play this course is make asure you rent or purchase a construction hardhat. There are several tees where balls are coming at you from 3 or more directions...this... More
