Paved and not too steep. Runs about a mile. Great way to include family with less mobility in your walks. You'll see little signs for access along Shore Rd. The Sparhawk are an easy landmark at the north end if you're starting from Ogunquit. Some reviewers paint quite a spectacular picture, although I’d say “cliffs” is a pretty strong word...

The Marginal way offers a very picturesque walk along the rocky Maine coast. It starts at all the motels downtown and ends up at Perkin's cove with the quaint little shops there.
It`s an ocean viewing walk that either brings you to Perkins Cove for your lobster rolls at The Lobster Shack or going the other way, downtown for your delicious pastry experience at Bread and Roses. It`s a pretty much level path with quite a few new benches placed along it .The benches provide a nice respite for talk and meditative...

We did this walk after doing the walk along Rye in NH and both are very nice but we liked seeing the much larger beachfront houses in Rye. Ogunquit and Perkins Cove were both cute, New England small towns with shops and many restaurants. A nice day trip.
About 1 mile, little rises but no big hills. Of course, the ocean is the thing that makes it a lovely walk.
One of the loveliest places to walk in Maine or anywhere else. The views are wonderful and the pathways well kept. It's an experience not to be missed in Ogunquit
Marginal Way is another great spot in Ogunquit. The walk along the rocky coast isn't very long and it's very easy to traverse, with a paved path the whole way. There are many benches for you to just take a break, sit for a while and stare out over the waves and towards the horizon for as long as you...

The walk on the Marginal Way has the advantage of being very easy and very beautiful. It is paved and the inclines are gentle. The views of the ocean and the waves crashing on the rocks are what Maine is all about and could not be better even at low tide. There are several places where one can go down...

Great ocean views and picturesque rock formations that meet the sea. Plenty of places to sit and enjoy the views and sounds of crashing waves. Make your way to Perkin's cove and enjoy some food at Oarweeds. Ogunquit is very hilly so the trail is the same and a little steep at times. Take your time and enjoy the walk.
