My wife and I just returned from a cruise to Maine and Canada, and one of our stops was at Portland Maine. We heard about the fire engine tour from someone on board our ship. They had such a good time that we decided to give it a try. You tour Portland in the back of a real fire engine... More

We took this tour on impulse because the alternative was fully booked - and were really pleased we did. Very enthusiastic guide, lots of local knowledge and an interesting side visit to the railway museum (which is well worth a separate visit). The real extra is the fire engine itself - great views and surprisingly comfortable. Although we're now past... More

A great tour of Portland on a firetruck. Our tour guide was wonderful, had a lot of stories about Portland. Both historic and from a local's point of view. They showed us the wonderful sites and gave great tips of other trips and tours to do while in Portland. We got to visit the Maine Narrow Gauge Railroad Museum and... More

I would recommend this tour to anyone who lives in Portland, neighboring towns, or visiting from afar! The tour itself took 45 minutes, is fun to ride the firetruck, the guide we had was an intelligent college student with studies in tourism. His presentation of the City Tour was excellent! Grab the whole family and learn about your Portland History!... More

My wife and I wanted something new and different to try when we got to Portland. We took the 45 minute tour on the fire truck and were pleasantly surprised about how informative it was. We had originally thought it was going to be kid-oriented, but it wasn't. The tour guide was great and we got to see all of... More

My husband and I went on this tour and we really enjoyed it. It was only 45 minutes and the guide explained a lot about the cities history and culture.

I called in advance and made reservations for this tour. My family and I arrived a little early and were able to get our photo taken aboard the fire truck. The tour was great and our tour guide was very knowledgeable and knew all about Portland. It was great being able to see the photos of Portland back in the... More

I took my 2 year old on this tour this afternoon and we were both thrilled. Not only was he mesmerized by the fact that we were riding in a fire truck, I was interested by the very great narrative tour that was going on at the same time. We hit all the right places in Portland and it was... More
