Montsweag Flea Market is one of the reasons we return to Maine year after year. It's a treasure hunter's dream -- just large enough to have some variety but small enough to be do-able in a reasonable amount of time. It is mostly geared to antiques so if you forgot to pack socks, you will probably not find them here...

Get there as early as you can. I have only been there four times, but every time I've gone, I've come home with a treasure! The prices are reasonable, and many of the merchants will lower the price before you even have to ask if they can do any better. It's not too big, so you can do it all...

This is a great little market I've gone to for years with always a treasure to be found. The dealers are all very nice and knowledgeable about their wares. Seems like everything here is right from the source and hasn't been traded 5 or 6 times to jack the price up . We love this place!!

This is a fun market where you can usually find a good assortment of primitives, art and collectibles. Wednesdays are antique days, and dealers bring everything from paintings to architectural things, nautical and old tools. Some start setting up as early as 4:30-5 a.m. so getting there early is a must. Most dealers are nice and will work with you...
