Certainly worth the stop. We visited in the off season so there were barely any people around. It was quiet and picturesque. If you have ever seen the Cape Cod potato chips this is the lighthouse from the picture on the bag. There is a trail you can take (through some woods then along a street then through woods again)... The Nauset Light is in Eastham and was built as three towers in 1838. They were replaced by the Three Sisters that were made of wood. no longer functioning and moved aside but beautiful to look at. The current Nauset light succeeded them and has been in place since 1923

We always hit the lighthouses at the end of the day so the kids can run around and it isn't too hot to enjoy the view. Plus the light at sunset makes for the best every vacation portraits.

Nauset Light Preservation Society has recently overseen the complete repainting of the cast iron stairway inside the Light. The entry floor and the second level floor have been redone as well. Looks great!
