This was a serendipitous find for us, as we didn't make plans to visit Sandwich. It was a very pleasant surprise. Beautifully kept, spacious gardens. Beautiful carousel horses as well. We took peaceful walks in the gardens. The Cafe was very crowded at lunch time. There were limited seats available, although there were picnic tables/benches nearby. We were fortunate it... More

Lots of great walking trails on this property, some are paved, and lots to see. My husband and I loved the car museum and the chance to be outdoors in a beautifully landscaped area with wooded trails-----2 of our favorite things. There are lots of great attractions for kids (treehouse and carousel) as well. When we were there in early... More

My husband and I usually race up to Provincetown from Connecticut, and we're so glad we finally took time to stop and "smell the roses" at Heritage this month. We visited beautifully kept stunning grounds with graceful, meandering paths. We enjoyed the special exhibit, Driving Our Dreams: Imagination in Motion which is on view through October 2013. The American Art... More

We Southerners tend to think was have some sort of edge with beautiful and whimsical flower gardens. My husband Jerry and I were thrilled with our day spent within the magnificent Heritage Gardens and Museum in Sandwich, MA. We were there last July and the Cape Cod weather was mild with a warm breeze as we enjoyed both the stunning... More

We went to the Heritage Museum & Gardens this past Fall and enjoyed a beautiful day outside and inside. Outside there are peaceful walks along paved walkways bordered by wonderful variations of plant life and vibrant flowers - a horticulturists playground. You can choose to ride if you need to, as there is an "opened" vehicle that will take you... More

No visitor to Cape Cod should miss Heritage Museums and Gardens. It's about an hour's drive from Boston, right over the Sagamore Bridge, in the lovely and historic town of Sandwich. Summer and winter, the gardens offer something beautiful to look at, and the hydrangea display in July is spectacular. Whimsical sculptures punctuate the well-maintained walking trails, and benches appear... More
