An hour to view the exhibits is more than an adequate. The children can have There is a feeding of the seals which is fun to watch. With free, but donation requested admission, you will not go broke taking the family. Bring plenty of quarters, for the only parking available other than handicapped is at meters.

An intelligently presented look at the surrounding beach and ocean ecosystems. Enclosed tanks are labeled with information that help one understand the sea life around Cape Cod. On an upper floor there are open tanks for closer inspection of local species. An outside tank has seals that great fun to watch.

The highlight was watching the feeding of the seals, which you can catch most days at 11 AM or 4 PM. It's great that there is no charge to visit, but I highly recommend a donation so they can continue their important work. Inside, there are informative displays and a variety of fish, but it's not a huge facility, so... More

I had not been to the Woods Hole Aquarium since I visited with my middle school many, many years ago, but went ver Memorial Day weekend. It is a very informative, self-guided tour where you learn about many of the local fish, shellfish and mammals inhabiting Cape Cod waters. You can look behind the scenes (tanks) and learn how the... Went on a rainy day and found a lot to do and see with the kids for a few hours. Nice little aquarium even has sea lions! Donations accepted and worth it!

If you've been to the Aquariums in Boston and Conn. this venue is much smaller but the nature of the space is inviting, interactive and the seal feeding is great for the kids under 10 years old. We went during Spring break and got to tour the facility and watch the seal feeding (11 and 4 daily). My family spent... More

Great place to bring the kids for a visit. We got there for the seal feedings. We only needed about 30 minutes, but it's free (donations accepted) and worth the stop if you are in the area.

Another must-do for families staying in or around Falmouth. We rented bicycles in Falmouth & took the Shining Sea Bikeway to Woods Hole & enjoyed this free! aquarium. It's very small but is actually a great size for little, little ones. We got there at 11am -- the time they feed the 2 seals (11 am & 4 pm). This... More

Woods Hole Aquarium is free and a great place to spend an hour or so with your kids. While there is nothing very spectacular, the exhibits are interesting and, best of all, you get to go "behind the scenes" and go into a back area where there are tanks holding fish who are recuperating, etc. Well worth a visit.
