Elm Park should be a jewel in the city, but the years have not bed kind. While some statues harken back to the park's heyday, the sidewalks and paths are rough and the bridges- an old renovation gone wrong- are too steep for easy walking. Hopefully a new renovation of the benches will be a step in the right direction.... More

Elm Park is a sweet little public park (I believe oldest in the country) that is perfect for all ages. Nice place to walk, push a stroller, or eat lunch on a bench. Nice little playground that appears to be well used (my children are now grown). The park has an art installation during the year and several other events... More

This is a very nice park. Has childrens area w/jungle gyms and swings. Park is beautiful for pictures all year round. A little noisy as it is surrounded by high traffic streets, but all around a nice place to enjoy the day/afternoon. In the Summer they do have concert series & sculptures.

It's hard to believe how beautifully taken care of this park is if you try and judge by the surrounding area. You can find a farmer's market there in the warmer months. It is full of flora and fauna, fish and foul. A must do if you are in the Springfield area.

Pretty little pond year round with lots of bird life (almost too much at times so poop becomes a problem for strollers). Nice play area for children. Concerts in the park are enjoyable (although parking can be an issue). It's also fun when artists are displaying sculptures, etc. It's a very busy place year round.

Love coming here with the grandkids who enjoy playing for hours. After play time the enjoy a cold pop and we would walk if off. During the summer there are some great activities at the park.

I grew up going to Elm Park, and even though I have moved 45 minutes outside of Worcester I travel here often. I have brought my now 20 year old daughter to Elm Park on many occasions as well. It is beautiful and well maintained. It's only drawback is being surrounded by busy streets. However, I have never seen or... More

Big and beautiful with paths for strolls, a lot of resident wild life, art in the summer, ice skating in the winter, a riot of color in the fall, a grand playground for the kids, and plenty of open space for picnics or for games. the perfect public space.

I enjoy being near the water. I walk here and it is a good place for yoga. It's not so isolated that I should be afraid to walk there alone but it's not overly crowded either. I enjoy it when they have the Art in the Park.
