Beautiful Sand dunes and seascapes await you at the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore. Hiking trails for the less experienced up to the most physically fit and plenty of great views from either. Beautiful forestry land, swimming, picnicing. Enough fun and excitement to fill the days. Adjacent area is spotted with tiny villages with lots of artists, shopping and snacks.... More

I've been coming here since I was a child. I bring my kids as often as possible. An amazing place to climb, picnic, and just hang out. If you can make it all the way from the dune climb along the trail, you will end up at Lake Michigan, which is a wonderful place for pictures. The surrounding area, Glen... More

If your kids are tired of traveling in the car and need to blow off some steam take them to the dune climb. Somehow kids love to try to climb to the top and race back down. If you have help problems don't attempt it tho--it's higher than it looks and harder to do. If you have more than one... More

Went on a family trip here, checked in to visitor center and then went on a 1.5 mile hike on the Empire Bluff Trail which was beautiful. The scenery and "postcard" view are best seen from here, and the walk is through the woods and an easy hike. We later drove down to the "dune climb" which has no warning... More

Went hiking there on an amazingly warm clear March day and had the entire Dunes ti ourselves. My wife and I along with two of our daughters and our ten year old granddaughter. Everyone love it. Do not miss some time in the dunes if you are in the area. More
