Visited here after Fort Mackinac visit. They were making food and offered me a taste, which was good. My 10 year old made corn meal. It was a good visit. ..
An extension of the fort ticket admission. It is connected to the blacksmith shop, which was more interesting.
Enjoyed viewing the history of the island. Blacksmith was very good too.
The ladies in the house were sewing and cooking and explained the history of the house in a lovely way. The blacksmith told the history of the shop in a most amusing way. We'd be sure to stop in again on our next visit!
Wonderful, accessible historic site. Very knowledgeable staff and interactive way to learn about early 19th century frontier America.
Enjoyed touring and talking with the staff at the Biddle house. The blacksmith shop is on this property and it is really neat to see.
The Biddle House admission was included in the Fort admission so we stopped. It was interesting and the blacksmith shop is part of the Biddle House. The blacksmith spent alot of time answering ours and other questions. Spent approx 30 minutes here and enjoyed it!
Especially enjoyed talking to the staff here and at the blacksmith shop next store . . . very informative and interesting folks.
This is included in the price of your fort pass. The old house has three areas; crafts, kitchen and blacksmith. It might take a little prompting, but your kids can learn a lot in just a few minutes.
