Our guide was knowledgeable and interesting. The history was fascinating, although sad. More

We expected more... go there for a walk but do not ask for a guide. Mombacho view is beautiful. Enjoy the visit to the hand-made brick "factory". More

Old ruins but badly labeled and with average info. Not much to see, but if you are a history buff you may enjoy it more than we did More

Must see if you visit this city, also dont forget to visit Leon Viejo, and La Catedral. I also visit a farmer market (mercado) and I exchange some dollars to cordova there...its normal to do this type of transaction with locals..tips: be very careful with locals who will approach you asking for you to change them a big $500.00 cordova... If you have a half day free, it is worth the trip.Because it is a WHS, it has funding to maintain it. The grounds are clean and the history is displayed. If you like visiting ruins this one is well kept in a tranquil setting. The entrance fee is about a dollar per person. There is a guide who speaks spanish and english. Be aware that in the summer it is very hot and humid here. For a great photo walk up to the vista point which overlooks the volcano. More
