Not a big museum, but a nice variety of exhibits rotate through regularly. They have an exhibit of Inuit art that I enjoy seeing every time I'm there. They have a great craft show in October of various local artists.

The movie is about 45 minutes long and well worth the viewing. Even though we aren't art enthusiasts, it was all quite interesting and we spent about two hours in the museum as it was a great learning experience.
The residents of TC should be proud of this gem. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The Inuit collection is one of the largest and finest in the world.

Just east of downtown Traverse City is the Dennos Museum Center. This is a really worthwhile museum, don't be fooled by its smaller size. They have several permanent collections including an excellent sampling of Inuit Artwork. Part of the exhibit area is always used for special shows with items on loan from larger museums or institutions along with special touring...

The Dennos Museum is part of Northwestern Michigan Community College. The museum is fantastic. We have hosted Chihuly, China, Cartography, and everything in between. The exhibits are beautifully displayed and user friendly. There is an adjoining children's museum and a fine gift shop which often has items that match the current exhibits.
Great ever changing expeditions travel here. Very nicely one with lots to see. Good gift shop as well.
They often set up quite unique and great exhibition regarding some interesting Chinese artists and their amazing art works! It is small but it has pretty much everything you needed and make sure you visit the gift shop after the tour at the museum :)
The Dennos offers Traverse City and the surrounding area a wonderful small museum that has amazing collections as well as musical programs and performances during the winter months. Just the right size to tuck it into a day in Traverse City.
