Attended a few Toddler Time events (Fridays from 10AM - Noon) in the past few months. The facilitator isn't real engaging, but the events we've participated in have been fun for a certain period of time... after it begins to get boring we head out to the main museum. Daughter (2yo) loves to do the Cycle of a Raindrop, play... More

Lots of fun for everyone. Many hands-on projects for kids of all ages. Highly recommend it! They offer a great service, and a wonderful rainy-day place.

It is small so you can keep an eye on your kids where ever you are just about and the kids never wanted to leave

We had a birthday party here recently for about a dozen eight-year-olds. February birthdays party venues are limited and the video game venues get boring. This was an awesome alternative! The kids had a great time playing in the musuem. They have a separate room where we had pizza and birthday cake. They even let us bring in a pinata.... More

Our children are ages 6 and 8. This is one place that they BOTH love! (How often does THAT happen?!?!) They remember how much fun they had there and whenever we drive by they beg for a return visit. It is great for a rainy day or for a snowy afternoon when school has been cancelled. If you are looking... More

We just had our son's 5th birthday party at the Museum and it was perfect! We got to use the conference room to serve cake and other snacks and do presents. But when we weren't doing that, the kids could roam in and out of the room and play inside the Museum. It was a great way for the kids... More

The Great Lakes Children's Museum does a great job of offering kids fun, hands-on activities with a purpose. My 3-year old loves the water table and the visual of the working engine on the freighter. My 7-year old gravitates toward the art/craft projects and the activities inside the lighthouse. Both of them love building on the new magnetic ball wall.... More

We visited the Great Lakes Children's Museum, and it was clean had variety, craft/activity room had great variety, and fun for both boys and girls! My kids are 4 (girl) and 2 (boy) and it was a blast! We loved the big boat, and enough space to run around in (visited during winter season). They did not want to leave,... More

I visit the museum every month for a board meeting. I always enjoy looking at the displays and watching the children and adults enjoying the activites. It is very close to Traverse City and has other interesting spots to visit in the area.
