The museum is a must see for out of town guest. This is about the best small town museum in the USA. The local memorabilia is what makes this place so interesting and really adds the personal touch that a large museum can't produce.

Well done museum of the history of Bozeman and Gallatin county. Housed in the historic old jail right on Main Street. Doesn't take very long, but worth the time

This place is fascinating, even if you're not a history buff. Lots if pictures and displays showing history of the Gallatin valley. Great for older generations, but will probably bore the kids.

It is hard to find things to do with my 75-year old father. I took him here and he loved looking at the antique guns and I really enjoyed looking through old Yellowstone Park and Montana travel memorabilia. There are a lot of interesting things here and it is definitely worth a stop if you are a history buff.

We are so glad we visited this museum! Even though it appears small from the outside, you'll be impressed by how much you learn about Bozeman when you tour this museum. A great little museum in the heart of town. Not pretentious, but authentic local lore.

The Pioneer Museum is located in what used to be the local jail. The cells with bars are still intact! It's small, but has enough to be interesting. The gift shop has a nice selection of books on local and state history.
