Touring this fort is like having a history lesson come to life. They have accomplished so much. The displays are incredible our guide, Bob, so knowledgeable and so interesting. The art collection is out of this world and beautifully presented. The Fort alone makes it important to visit Fort Benton. Excellent, excellent, excellent.

Worth the drive off the interstate to spend a day in Fort Benton and visit the Fort and other museums in town. Explorers, Mountain Men, Cowboys, Homesteaders, Empire Builders, Lawmen and Outlaws all made Montana what it is today and it all started right in Fort Benton.

Lots to see. The people in character added to the experience.

The community has really made this town interesting for anyone that likes history. The Missouri River that runs right by the main street is very amazing. There are more things to see in this town than the larger towns in the US.

What a wonderful little town. Historic Old Fort Benton is a must see. We took the tour and it was very nice. Our tour guide was really fun. I grew up here! I know "powers that be" in Fort Benton do everything they can to make it a great visit!

I love this small town, make sure to walk along the river and walk on the bridge over the Missouri river

A great place to live and and visit. specially during the summer

If you don't pick a day when it is raining or a blizzard, any other time is great for a walk down the river pathway. The old railway bridge, for me, is only good when the weather is warm. Learning about the history, just by reading the signs and looking at the old buildings. It is easy and fun.
