We have been to the Air Races many times and are never disappointed. From the actual races to the air show performers ( Blue Angels, Thunderbirds, SnowBirds, wing walkers and sky writers just to name some). Plus some neat vendors and lets not forget the planes on display, from vintage to the latest and greats the military has to offer.... More

The RAC is a wonderful organization in the community. They not only put on a fantastic event, but give so much back to the community in other ways. We are lucky to have such a great organization in Reno.

A terrific event ...some hints stay at a hotel that has the shuttle bus going to the races...The shuttle is great about 22.00 a round trip the bus takes you right to the entrance..tidy a/c buses, no traffic hassle, very pleasant drivers a way to do it.A must do for someone who likes planes. If possible stay overnight on Sunday... More

We love the Air Races, the new rules are a bummer as far as how far out they race now. We all know the risks going there. But they still put on an amazing show! Plus thats where my husband and I met. Great crowd, lots of good fun, food, and drink.

Our first time in USA. We bought the reserved seating and pit passes for the week, plus the reserved parking. Worth every cent, absolutely. Parked about 50 metres from the entrance each day, and NO problem getting in or out traffic wise, they are well organised. Must take a big Aussie flag with us next time to support "Blank Czech"... This event is pretty much what it's advertised to be. A bit pricey for many. A great education, along with thrilling performances. If one has never been to the Reno Air Races and can, should at least once. There is a spirit there not felt at any other type event. It's more than just an Air Show and More than... More

Our favorite part is that they let you walk in the pits to get an up close and personal look at the aircraft! All over Reno, the sky is buzzing during this time of year. If you are in the Northwest part of town, you'll frequently see the race planes banking over Peavine Mountain as they return to the race... More

The National Air Races in Reno will celebrate its 50th Anniversary in 2013. I have attended since 1977. The Reno Air Racing Association, essentially volunteeers, make this all possible for fans from around the world. Their handling of the unfortunate 2011 accident, and their follow-up tribute in 2012 was superb!

If you are an aviation enthusiast, you will love Reno, the last air race of its kind in the United States. If you go, you will not only see multiple classes of air races throughout the day, but also enjoy aerial demonstrations by top performers and lots of classic aircraft. If you liked Oshkosh, you will love Reno. With nearly... More
