Nice, moderate hike that can be done as a loop if you want. Easiest way is to park at the Flume Visitor Center and take the Mt. Pemigewasset Trail up to the summit and back. It's about 3.2 miles round trip. If you're interested in the loop, get a map at the Flume Visitor Center, leave your car, and walk... More

As we were returning to our resort after a full day visiting Mt. Washington, I told my hubby to turn off the highway so I could see if I could catch a good shot of the Indian Head Rock Formation. We pulled in the Indian Head Resort parking lot and hopped out. Although the viewing tower was closed, I was... More

This was my first trek up a mountain and from this experience alone I can say that it won't be my last! It was a wonderful, yet at times difficult (for the inexperienced hiker), hike and well worth the end result which was the amazing view!!! The view took my breath away. Although the climb up was more difficult than... More

We went to the Indian Head gift shop for some some gifts. It was a great place to look around and reasonable prices.

Looks like a great Hotel. YES, you can stop just to see the view of the Indian head. Family oriented. Stayed there when I was a little kid.

We love the cabins and all of the amenities at Indian Head. The pools are heated and the kids love the paddleboats. We saw fireworks that were really good - unexpected for a hotel.

We walked up the tower at the Indian Head Resort to see Indian Head. If you go into the gift shop there's a machine that you can buy coins and there's a machine you put the coins in and walk up the tower. Besides enjoying the exercise you get going up the tower, the view was worth it. Very cool... More

We were told that the trail was three hours (correct) and that it was fairly easy (absolutely not correct). It was pretty much a straight up/straight down affair. As we went up the southern part of the trail, people coming down did not seem too pleased with the level of difficulty of this trail (it seems, they too, had been... More

Since we no longer can view the Old Man of the Mountain, you must take a trip to view the Indian Head. It's amazing to see what has formed naturally on a mountain.

We purchased our tokens and climbed to the top of the Indian Head. It was a beautiful clear day with great views.
