Totally worth it. Its such a beautiful look out point. If you're not a hiker, take your car up! Be careful, some points dont have railings so you need to watch your step.

This outlook is just outside North Conway Village. It's a short walk after being able to drive vehicle up and around the back of actual ledge. Nice view looking down to North Conway and across to Cranmore Mountain. Popular spot for rock climbers as it as about a 400 foot verticle drop and may see them as they reach the...

You can see this magnificent 'ledge' from the highway, but take the time to make the short drive to the top, park and hike just a few steps to the top of the ledge. Be sure to explore the various short trails that follow the ledge as it goes around the mountain. We almost missed some of the best views!...

Great views over Echo Lake and the mountains and hardly any walking from the parking area so a quick one to cross off the long list of natural attractions in the area. Just be wary if mosquitoes which hunted us down as soon as we topped!

Well worth the drive to get there. Beautiful views for gorgeous pictures. Not for those afraid of heights. Peaceful and serene.
disliked the drive up there, its a bit hairy... and easy to 'fall' off the road. Plenty of people up there, no official parking though. Lots of climbers doing insane things like climbing off the edge... fascinating to watch HUGE mountain and gorgeous views over North Conway and further though... so peaceful and at one with nature... go see!
The sheer granite faces on Cathedral Ledge are clearly visible on the left side of the road when traveling north on Route 16. I have visited this ledge for many years, you can take the Bryce Hiking Path 1.2 miles to the top or you can take the 1 mile road off from West Side Road which also leads to...

Really hard mountain to climb for a beginner or not in hiking shape for steep climb! Completely worth it though to get to top and experience the view!
Bottom Line: If you aren't a hiker, drive up if you can.
Details: We arrived here in April and unfortunately the road to the top was covered in snow/ice. Even though we are not hikers we decided to walk up the road to the top which was a little over a mile long. Some of the road was quite steep...
