To see the statue of Liberty for the first time in my 49 years was a WOW feeling of knowing that it stands for what I served my country for "FREEDOM" then over by the piers there is a Memorial Wall in honor of the fallen from 9/11 with the new Freedom Tower (location of Twin Towers) in the background!!!!!!!!!!... A great underrated park--locals parade by the water while kids frolic. There's skaters, bikers, and cricket players! Hang out all day and picnic as you see amazing views of Manhattan, Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty.

Every time I'm in the area I visit this park and I am just amazed to see the view that it has. You can find everything in this park, a place for children, for picnics, bb-q's, for walks, bike rides, skate, sports, for pictures, you name it. The view that you will see is the beautiful New York City and Ellis... More

Living in Queens, we have never taken the ferry from lower Manhattan to visit Ellis Island or the Statue of Liberty. It's more fun & interesting starting from Liberty State Park. The Train Station here makes even more sense after you learn about your ancestors coming in through Ellis Island because so many of them then came here to take... More

Wonderful views of the NY City skyline & Statue of Liberty... it wouldn't be n my top 10 things to see in NYC if you're here for the 1st time, but if you get into the city 2 0r 3 times a year, wortht the visit.

It was a beautiful spring Sunday morning and we ventured to Liberty State Park to walk along the scenic hudson river and enjoy the views of the skyline. We say many people with children, with bicycles and dogs all out to enjoy the day. Now granted this was only early April so I'm sure some of the things I note... More

Great for a fun day or a walk after eating at Maritime Parc! Beautiful views and space! Love walking along the water and taking in the sights and sounds of the park. Great place to fish, ride a bike, or start a picnic!

Looking for some nice shots of the skyline and statue? A quick stop to Liberty Park is just the ticket. Free to stop in, park, and jump out for a few pics, this is a must do if you are in the area, but be cautious during peak summer months. There's even a small park for the kids to play.... More

The best parts are the bike paths and the fishing areas. There is so much space and so little to see. It is mostly a parking area and a picnic area. Also the wind conditions make it good for kite flying.
