Went for a wine tasting, which was great, both in quality of the wines and in the professional service. Then walked around the beautiful gardens, and after realizing we had worked up an appetite went for a wonderful light lunch at the stables. Turned out to be a really nice 3 hour highlight on our short wine route tour

I loved our recent visit to Vergelegen. We had a delicious lunch at the Stables restaurant and spent the afternoon exploring the beautiful gardens and visiting the restored buildings. The entrance fee is really not that bad considering how big the estate is and the amount of upkeep that must go into maintaining it. A great place to visit!
