This is a great place to come spend the day, there is plenty of parking, clean rest rooms, beautiful beach area, tables, shade, we pack a cooler and spend 10 to 12 hours there each time we go

Camping along the shores of the Great St Lawrence River has been revived with a fantastic feature in Massena NY. __Barnhart State Beach looks very much like a sandy beach in the Bahamas. The absence of Tiki Huts might fool you...but the vast open beach with plenty of grassy picnic areas will provide plenty of shade on hot summer day.___...

It's a very beautiful place. Lot's of wildlife. Great picnic areas. You can also watch ships come down the river to go thru the locks.
There was one breakfast restaurant in town that had a sign in the lady's room addressing the problem of "the wallpaper bandit". I couldn't believe it!!! I do not remember the name of the place but I think it was Wendy's diner. Bad taste in my opinion!
Even in the snowy winter you can enjoy the beauty of nature at the Robert Moses State Park. The trails at the Nature Center offers huge low-cost enjoyment for everyone in the family with tons of snowshoeing, skiing and hiking opportunities. Free outdoor workshops are available almost every Saturday.
See the Mighty St. Lawrence River and experience Lakers and Ocean going ships going through the Eisenhower Locks. Also the U.S./Canadian Power Dam. The park is beautiful with camping available

We spent three family days on the field #5 beach during summer 2012 and loved it very much. The beach is well managed by attentive life guards with clear bathing areas. Despite being busy, the beach didn't feel over crowded and despite allowing 'radios' at this field, I don't remember any loud music from fellow guests ruining the experience. We...

Easy access from Long Island's south shore. Go to the east end of Field #5 if you want to visit the light house as well!
