Our family has put up a brass plate memorial inscribed in remembrance of my brother and parents on the wall leading up to the light at the Montauk Lighthouse. The donation goes to the Lighthouse Fund as a Benefactor of the Light. We have always vacationed in Montauk as a family and still visit this beautiful historic landmark. Since my... More

This charming museum is one of the nicest lighthouse museums I have visited. Great interactive displays and lots of history.

Well maintained, and friendly staff, but $8 per car to park and $9 Per person to visit. I've visited and lighthouse museums in different states as well as other country's and this was by far the most expensive. Great place, but to much for a family day out.

We have been to Montuak many times over the years and we always head out to the LIghhouse. The history of the structure is amazing and the hike up to the top is worth the climb. Last time out, we went on a seal watch as well, that was fun and very different.

it was very cool to go up the stairs and see the great view of both the long island sound and the atlantic ocean.

Been here a few times and never even walked inside the museum (maybe when I was a kid, but don't remember). You can walk around back on the rocks and watch all the fishermen and the gret waves. Always a beautiful, scenic spot that is a must see once in your life!

The Lighthouse is amazing! Fabulous views. Hardcore stripper fishing at the bottom...if you can handle it!

The Montauk Point Lighthouse is in the hands of a nonprofit historical society that is doing its worthy heritage proud. It is a long way out there but well worth the drive, especially if you time your visit to hear the fascinating talk by author/historian Henry Osmers, who has written four books on his favorite subject.

Went here primarily on the strength of the tripadvisor review. The experience was absolutley worth it. The museum covers a lot of topics in a small space and the beach and hiking areas are beautiful.

I have been visiting this place my whole life, and always love coming back. It never gets boring, I never get tired of it. Its a beautiful place. This weekend, I proposed to my girlfriend on the rocks between the lighthouse and the water. We then climbed the steps to the top of the lighthouse for an amazing view. You... More
