Though the Castle is interesting from afar, we never figured out how one might get there for a more involved visit and we asked. If the castle is a site that you want to see then bring a good pair of binoculars with you to do so.

As ruins go this one isn't much, but it does have a nice view. Even better than the scenery is the people watching. This tends to be a gathering place for watching the sunset, which if conditions are right will bath Santorini's white buildings with glowing colors, but we had no such luck. Great views, but in Oia it is impossible to stand somewhere and not have amazing views! Oia is not very big so at some point you should at least come down here for the views. Be warned, it gets packed at sunset!

We have been fortunate to travel numorous places around the world and have to list OIA as the most beautiful of places! What a view, everywhere you look it is breathtaking. Like being in a postcard! Added bonus that it's in Greece where some of the most wonderful people live.

This is where everyone goes to see the sunset... I was laughing at my wife for believing in the rumors that Oia has one of the top sunsets in Santorini! Well i realized that it is not the sunset but the ambience that makes the difference in the actual sunset.. Enjoy it people

Too many visitors in sunset time.Best time to visit : late at night on full moon,you can also hear if you'r lucky enough bouzouki players. When is cloudy also the landscape is magical,you have the impression that the sea rises from the sky . Love it!
