Anthony Road dabbles in dry whites and reds, and some off-dry stuff, but they are almost universally forgettable. An afterthought, really. What they do best, dessert wines, they do really, really well. Their Trockenbeeren selections, both vignoles and riesling, rank with the best of German examples of this style. Depth of fruit, perfect acidity to counterbalance. They're extremely expensive, of... More

NIce people. Very good wines. Out local wine store stocks a lot of NY state wines. Were introduced by my son to their wines as gifts. Nice place to visit and great views.

We stopped for a wine tasting at Anthony Road Wine Company two weeks ago. We tasted five wines for $2.00 each person. We were much impressed by the wines we tried, so we bought a few bottles to take home. The take home bottles didn't stay long at the house; they were terrific. Yesterday we returned to to a friendly... More

Wonderful Wines. Each Sip was a Flavor Explosion! Stop and Enjoy while on your Trail Ride! There Tasting Room looks out onto Seneca Lake. The winery is on the West side of Seneca Lake.

We went to this winery with moderate expectations - based on the previous reviews. But unfortunately, it wasn't to our 'taste'. It's a very modern tasting room - very concrete - we prefer the real type winery surroundings and environment. We were the only ones there and the person giving us the tastings just stood there and stared at us.... More

This is a nice winery on Seneca Lake. My husband and I like dry wines, so most of the wines were not what we were looking for. They did however have the best red that we tasted during the whole weekend. It is the 2010 Cabernet Franc/Lemberger.

Although they have a fair selection of wines, the attendant to our tasting was uninterested and ruined the experience.

I live on Seneca Lake and have visited most of the many wineries that surround the lake. I have recently revisited many of these wineries with Jacob Altmann, a young and talented German winemaker who has taken over those duties at the new Ryan William Vineyard on Seneca Lake’s east side in Hector. We drove to Anthony Road because of... More

We had read the book, Summer in a glass so Anthony Road was on our list of must visits for this trip. The spacious, bright, and modern tasting room was well done. The wine is really good and we found the tasting room staff, well informed, helpful and enthusiastic. We had high expectations, and they were surpassed.
