Our family enjoyed visiting this park very much. It was peaceful and the way the river splits on either side is beautiful. There were ducks and geese enjoying the park as well. There is easy wading and swimming for those not faint of heart...the water about mid way across goes from shallow to rapids. There are picnic tables, pavilions, benches, a...

At the islands park you can have a picnic, birthday party, or lay out in the sun all day. There are pavillons and benches to use and there are also grills. We like to bring out intertubes and tube down the river. We bring our beach towels and lay out on the shore. There are also fish in the water...

There wasn't a lot of people down here this time of the year and it was amazing we played in the river and with the ducks in the park it was so relaxing
very clean and right on the river so you can get in and wade or tube. Only one side is dog friendly.
This park is located right in the middle of Cherokee. If you have small children, this is a nice way to take a break as there is plenty of room to run around and stretch out. The park is a great place to have a picnic and just hang out and enjoy the water. We were unable to enjoy the park on our last visit there because of all the rain. The water level was elevated and running extremely fast, so they had the park roped off
We like going there and taking a lunch , sit back and feed the ducks and just put ur feet in the cool water and left all ur worrys go !!!! The way life should be !!!!
This is a very pleasant area in a busy tourist town. The kids can play in the stream and there are picnic tables and just a very pretty place.
Nothing like taking a nice cool morning Fall walk in the colors along the creeks before hitting the casino floor. The park have native indian features like a playground and fire pit that I have never seen before.
