The Duke Chapel is very beautiful, and it resembles much older churches that can be found in York and London, England (Duke Chapel was built in the 20s). You can enter the church as long as there is not a wedding ceremony going on, which happens more on the weekends in the spring and summer. It has impressive stained glass... More

The chapel is quite lovely, tranquil, and serene. I found it to be a wonderful place to just sit and meditate and leave the hustle and bustle of the world behind for a bit.

The chapel is magnificent to view from a distance and especially close up. Inside, it is a reverent place of worship. The organ music adds so much to each experience. I have been to the chapel with out-of-town visitors and once went for a wedding. Lovely.

You know if you're driving through Durham and want to get out and walk around for awhile, the Duke Chapel is a great choice. It's near the interstate, and while parking is a challenge (follow the signs to visitor parking, $2. per half hour) the doors are open daily to a lovely place of worship. It's as close to a... More

Went to Christmas eve service and was very pleased with the overall experience. Church is beautiful, looks quite old although it is obviously built in the 20th century. Choir was excellent, in spite of the fact that most of the students were not on campus for the winter break.

A truly beautiful church located at Duke University. We were in town for a game and had to stop by the chapel. Certainly photo worth.

What an absolutely beautiful chapel. The sounds from the organ are exquisite and the campus surrounding the chapel is gorgeous as well. Definitely worth a visit!

Just so you know where I'm coming from, I love Renaissance and Baroque choral music - Tallis, Byrd, Purcell, Victoria - so this place features music I long to hear. There couldn't be a better venue for this type of music. It's solidity gives the feel of utter permanence. It's soaring arches push up to heaven and create an ethereal... More

The Chapel is spectacular looking and very impressive. The interieur is also awe inspiring. Having visited dozens of chapels in Europe we were not disappointed by this "American" version.
