The natural aspects of the island are stunning, no matter the season or the weather conditions. If you get in trouble there with accommodation or a car, I hope you have a full wallet with cash. More

We go every year and its just like another world. Its really hard to believe that such a majestic island sits so close to downtown Brisbane. If you haven't done it you have missed more than you think, get across the bay and book a night or two at tangalooma resort...we book private villas and they are positioned over highly... More

Right on Brisbane's doorstep superb wilderness and getaway. Take your tent and cap right on the surf beach. Make sure you take your fishing rod as the fish are free. More

Took a MICAT and drove to island in 4WD . Had lots of fun! Our kids love the sand and so many stafish on the sand! We saw dolphins, pelicans and other animals upclose and personal. We also drove around the sand, was great fun! The most wonderful experience is the sand boarding and desert safari tour. More

Love the isolation, the nature is amazing & if have a 4wd trip across the island to see both east & west is just fantastic. If u just want to get away & escape the rat race then this will do the trick. More

Lovely place to visit. You need a good four wheel drive (depending on condition of tracks). We stayed at a fishing club house at Bulwah in the north and had a lovely time. Honeymoon Bay is beautiful. Be careful though as beaches are not patrolled and can be dangerous. More
