little remains of the fort but it's very beautiful out there and you can read up on some of the events that occurred nearby. youre also very close to the aquarium and the ferry to southport.

Fort Fisher has the best scenery. It is always busy down torwards Fort Fisher. I have been there multiple times and have enjoyed it. The historical site is the best to look at. It is just breathtakingly beautiful.

We took our car across on the ferry from Southport, which was extremely good value at $5 and very worthwhile. It was interesting to read about the history of the area and we were pleased we made a stop off here on our way through.
