I was as marveled as the Aztecs must have been when they found this magical place! Enormous! Pyramids are somehow easy to climb but wait for the trip down!!!! Read a bit of its history before visiting and you will enjoy it much more.....

You can climb to the top of both the sun and moon pyramids. It's a long way up but there is a handrail. don't try it if you are afraid of heights. there were far too many hawkers trying to sell us stuff we didn't want and they were very persistent

Nothing to dislike. It only takes around 15 minutes to get to the very top of the pyramid of the sun. Only possible con is all of the people trying to sell you stuff, but that is expected at any big tourist site.

this place is reachable by town bus - 40 minutes to go from Mexico city. Better get here to 10am - there is no place to hide when sun runs +30C at noon. Bargain for cheap souvenirs. Pyramids are great but do not miss a museum with garden

Aprox. 50 kmts from Mexico city, we went by taxi (party of 4) in aprox 40 min. Two main piramids (Sol and Luna) an small museum and a temple of the snakes. What impressed me the most after knowing Machu Pichu, Xcaret, Tikal and other is the extensión of this site. Aprox 1.5 miles fromth Snakes temple to the Sun... More

Great ruins to visit. We were not sure whether to book tour or get there by bus. Hotel recommended to purchase a tour as it is not safe, however after reading all the below reviews we decided to go on our own. And I am glad we did: paid only fraction of the tour price(40 pesos), were not dragged around... More

Piramides de Teotihuachan is located north of Mexico City. If you are in the Mexico City must go there. Try go to the top of the pyramid and going down step by step carefully. Piramides de Teotihuchan has a big complex. Recommended to go there.

It's amazing so many Americans go all the way to Egypt just to visit pyramids, when within a 5 hour flight from almost anywhere in the USA, you can see some of the largest pyramids in the world. Teotihuacan is no less impressive than Giza, and maybe more interesting for the very fact that so many new-age myths are tied... More
