Dirty water not no ones fault, just the way it is, better than nothing. But not my first choice. Close to home, but would rather drive farther. Not fond of the area & the type it draws...

We take our RV to the full hook up sites in what used to be called Little River State Park. We love this area and try to go at least once a month all year long. Great clean, reasonably priced campsites.
I haven't been out on the trails at Lake Thunderbird in decades. They were nothing then. The family and I went for a Sunday morning hike (stroll) in the Clear Bay trails area. For me the biggest draw to this place is that its close to my house. The lake is a red dirt lake so the water is not very clear but that is to be expected. This once was a beautiful park with nice facilties and good fishing and camping. However, it has suffered from lack of maintenance and lack of rain. The lake is almost empty. And, the trash is overwhelming. Even the deer have left.

We grew up in the country so it is a nice reprieve from the city. The only difference is we grew up...

This park needs some help. I been to other clay bottom lakes that the state really worked to keep clean. Not Oklahoma, lets just leave people swim in mud.
