Wish we had paid more attention to the description. It is actually someone's home. They do open it up on occasion, but unless it is open for an event, you can only view it from afar. Get a local paper to find out when they are having an event. Would have rated it higher had it been an actual attraction.

We enjoy the old Pelican Bay Light house, never been before. the best part is being able to see far out to see the boats and meeting people who care for the Light House. We will won't to stop again when we pass through Crescent City, CA

This is a beautiful lighthouse home that you can see very clearly from sporthaven beach area. The owner does do tours occassionaly via fund raisers such as Habit for Humanity. However, it is rare.
