Oregon's entire coast is dotted with beautiful state parks, but this is one of the best. If you have only a short time to spend in this spectacular region, go here! A gem. The entrance is connected to a large parking lot. Many surfers come to Oswald for the shallow and long stretches. Dogs love it, too. At low tide, it had some of the most spectacular tidal pooling. Huge sea stars, sea urchins, vegetable life galore. The setting could not be more majestic and beautiful.

Short, easy walk down to the beach, which is very, very dog friendly... surfers galore, caves and a waterfall near the beach. There was a little tidle pool with starfish in it! All in all, I could hardly tear myself away!

I stopped here and took the trail down to the beach. It is so lovely walking through the trees/forest and down to the beach. I can't wait to return. Very beautiful and peaceful!

We asked several locals if we should go to Ecola or Oswald for a hike. All of them said Oswald. The hike to Cape Falcon was recommended by a guide at the visitor center in Cannon Beach.
